Eben Moglen Named to eWEEK's "Top 100 Most Influential People in IT" List
Eben Moglen, Founding Director of the Software Freedom Law Center, has been ranked among the Top 100 Most Influential People in IT. Ranked #92, Moglen is cited as an "expert in open source law and one of the guiding lights of GPL 3." The list was published online between March 15 and March 26, and published in print in the April 23 issue of eWEEK.
A committee of veteran writers and editors from Baseline, CIO Insight, and eWEEK nominated individuals based on the following criteria:
- The person's tangible track record of information technology success.
- The scope of influence the person has beyond his or her own organization.
- The ability of the individual to effect change.
- The level of engagement the person has in developing today's emerging technologies.
